Macmillan Move More is a free 12-week programme after which participants are encouraged and supported to move into the general Active Health programme or onto other physical activity options.

Cancer and its treatments can cause physical and emotional changes and dealing with these is often very stressful. Being more physically active can help individuals cope with and recover from some of these changes, including reducing tiredness and fatigue, improve confidence and mood and managing weight.

There are low level circuit classes, walking, gentle movement exercise and gardening opportunities.

You can refer yourself by speaking to the Move More team in the first instance or health and social care professionals can refer you by using the Active Health referral form found at the bottom of the page in the link below.

Move More classes are held in North Lanarkshire facilities however residents of South Lanarkshire with cancer are welcome to access Move More too.
